2025 Mini Sessions & Descriptions
Simply Sourdough – Session Leader Kelly Youngblom: Each participant will receive her own dehydrated starter to take home. I will talk about how to rehydrate the starter, how to feed it, and how to bake with it. I will share some of my favorite sourdough recipes and tips.
Menu Planning – Session Leader Anna Lokensgard: What’s for dinner? If you are tired of scrambling at the last minute to pull something together for supper, this session is for you. We will explore ways to plan, save money, and restore creativity and sanity to the home dining experience! Whether you are a busy mom or an empty nester, there is something for everyone in this session.
Creative Corners: Each corner of the gym will feature a simple and quick craft activity. During the mini session, you’ll have the opportunity to complete two of the four available crafts. You will receive two tickets, which you can use to choose your two craft stations. Please note that some craft supplies are limited, so be sure to pick early!
Pop Bottle Flower Art – Session Leader Danielle Salsgiver: Create a Pop Bottle Flower Painting by dipping a pop bottle into your chosen paint and stamping it onto paper. Repeat the process as many times as you’d like, using different colors for a vibrant effect. Once the flowers are stamped, add stems and/or leaves to each one with green or dark brown paint. Finally, allow the painting to dry completely for a finished masterpiece

Satchel – Session Leader Erin Grunzke: Super easy lavender sachet that doesn’t involve sewing.

Mason Jar Coloring Craft – Session Leader Trudy Grunzke: Spend some relaxing time coloring a wood jar and flowers to make them your own sign of Spring.

Glass Etching – Session Leader Amanda Sonnek: Learn how to beautifully etch on glass using patterned stencils.

Carol’s Paint Party – Session Leader Carol Edwards: Paint your own masterpiece with fun, step by step guidance from a local artist. Banish the winter blues with a Springtime work of art!

Holy Hygge: Creating a place for people to gather and the Gospel to Grow – Session Leader Suzi Smith: Based on the books, Holy Hygge by Jamie Erickson and The Life Giving Home by Sally and Sarah Clarkson, together we will explore how to integrate faith and lifestyle. By combining the Danish concept of hygge with Christian principles, you will receive practical advice and learn to embrace a few key spiritual disciplines:
- Biblical Hospitality – Making your home a sanctuary for yourself and others creating a welcoming environment that reflects Christ’s love while fostering community and connection. We’ll also touch on how to build meaningful relationships in a digital age.
- Well-Being – Finding balanced self-care so we can better care for others, while cultivating a lifestyle that honors God.
- Contentment and Rest – Learning from God’s gift of the Sabbath, discovering the value of finding joy in simplicity, and recognizing the importance of rest.
A Husband is not a Financial Plan – Session Leader Kris Anderson: As Christian women we are all responsible for stewarding what God provides to us. It can be easy to put off or delegate our financial management. This session teaches what women can do at all stages of their lives to be faithful stewards and have financial peace.
Houseplants 101 – Session Leader Shoshana Bruner: Have you ever wondered about how to properly care for a plant indoors? Or haven’t had success with houseplants in the past? This presentation will go over the basics of indoor plant care and provide you with the guidance to help your houseplant flourish. We will discuss the following topics. – – – – – – – – – Picking the right plant for your space Lighting for your houseplant Watering your houseplant Soil and soil mixes for houseplants Containers and planters Fertilizing your houseplant Diseases and pests How to pot and repot a houseplant
Fear to Faith: Stop the Worry, End the Fear – Session Leader Michelle Muff: In a world filled with uncertainty, anxiety, and fear, finding peace can feel impossible. Join us for “Fear to Faith: Stop the Worry, End the Fear,” a transformative session designed to help Christian women overcome anxiety through the integration of faith and evidence-based therapeutic practices. In this session, licensed marriage and family therapist, Michelle Muff, will share her personal testimony of how God has provided grace and support through life’s challenges. Drawing from her expertise and lived experience, she will offer practical insights into understanding anxiety, including the difference between normal stress and diagnosable anxiety disorders. Attendees will learn about the physical and emotional manifestations of anxiety and how it can arise from various life experiences and traumas.
Everyday Mentoring – Session Leader Jeanne Rah: In this mini session we will talk about: What it means to mentor, what the Bible says about mentoring, who can be a mentor and practical ways to begin mentoring. The best example of a mentor is Jesus. He met people where they were, he extended kindness and friendship to everyone, he was often rejected but he never stopped reaching out in love. Not everyone followed, but those who did were mentored by Jesus. As Christian women, we can become mentors too.
Dining by Design: The Power of Color Theory – Session Leaders Crystal Hiniker & Ashlynn Montgomery: This is a master class that explores how color and design influence mood and ambiance at the table. From elegant dinner parties to casual gatherings, you’ll learn the art of tablescaping—using color, texture, and arrangement to create stunning, emotionally impactful table settings. Whether you want to evoke warmth, energy, or tranquility, this class will give you the tools to design with purpose and style.
The Power of AI: Transforming Our Lives and Future – Session Leader Yvonne Carlson: Artificial Intelligence is shaping the world around us in ways we never imagined. In this engaging session, we’ll explore how AI is revolutionizing industries, enhancing daily life, and creating new opportunities—while also addressing the challenges it presents. Whether you’re a tech enthusiast or simply curious about how AI impacts you, this discussion will provide valuable insights into the present and future of artificial intelligence. Join us to uncover how AI can empower women in their careers, creativity, and everyday experiences.
Good Christian Women Never Get Angry – Session Leader Audra Shaneman: Have you ever heard “Good Christian women never get angry”? Emotions are a God-created gift. Some are acceptable but we’ve learned to work really hard to sweep others under the carpet and then deny the big bump we just tripped over. During our time together, we’ll use the scriptures to sift through what the world says and what God says about anger, where it comes from and how to stay right with God in the process.
My God ROCKS – Session Leader LaDonna Alvarado: How many times have you asked God for a sign just to realize that His works are all around us? In this mini-session, you’ll get the opportunity to share the hope found in the good news of the Gospel in a unique and creative way. We will be working with ordinary rocks and transforming them into special little messages of hope found in Jesus.
Greeting Cards – Session Leaders Nancy and Dayna Larson: We’ll make 2 cards with a book theme, using stamps, die cuts and other elements. The pattern and directions will be included so you can finish your card if you don’t get it done during our time together.
Shine the Light on the Pages of Your Life! – Session Leader Beth Erdman: Join this breakout session to shine a light on the pages of your life by modge podging book pages on a jar. You’ll take home a personal and beautifully accessorized candle holder to help you remember this Day for Women.
10-minute Make-up with Lindsay – Session Presenter Lindsay Blank: There will be a demonstration on how a complete make-up look that can be done in ten minutes along with tips and tricks to transform your current make-up knowledge. Lindsay will also share trendy make-up, tips on what makeup products are best for different looks and ages, brighten dull areas and conceal problem spots, basic contouring and how to quickly turn your day look into a night look.
Tic Tac Toe Game – Session Presenters Jess Jones and Danielle Burley: Personalize your own tic-tac-toe board using wood, paint, rocks and washi tape.
