Burning Question:
Sunday is Mothers Day! What was one great memorable moment with mom? Tell me about it!
Morning Devotional:
Wait… She’s President?
Wait… what?
I found out last week that my oldest daughter, Kalvary, who is 21 and attending college, was elected president of her campus ministry. I had mentioned yesteday that she was involved, but this was an update I didn’t see coming. I didn’t even know she was running. But the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. It is one of those moments as a parent where you stop and think, How did we get here? The little toddler you remember is now stepping into leadership and doing some pretty incredible things. And it reminds me that growth often happens quietly. Faithfulness in the small things, day after day, eventually leads to bigger responsibilities.
Luke 16:10 says, “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.”
God sees the small, unseen moments. The choices to serve, to show up, to follow Him when no one is watching. And over time, He builds something out of that faithfulness. So whether you are watching it in your kids, or wondering if your own efforts matter, remember this. The little things are not little to God. Stay faithful where you are.
Because one day, you might just look back and say, “Wait… when did that happen?”
