It was a chocolate explosion!
My birthday cake yesterday was a conglomeration of chocolate cake, fudge, chocolate chip cookies, brownie bits, chocolate syrup, and chocolate mousse. It was heaven on earth as far as I was concerned! I enjoyed every bite of it yesterday and today, my lunch will consist of just dessert.
Speaking of “just desserts,” I savored my birthday cake yesterday like I deserved it, but there are other things I deserve that I am really glad I don’t receive.
God’s grace is amazing! Because of my sinfulness, I deserve punishment and death but because of Jesus Christ, I receive forgiveness and eternal life. I don’t deserve God’s love, but His love toward me is endless! So today, I say thank you, God! Thank you for giving me what I don’t deserve – your incredible gifts of mercy and grace. That’s better than any dessert out there!
