What Day Is It?

Burning Question:

It’s National Awkward Moments Day!  What was your worst, or best awkward moment?

Morning Devotional:

I was watching a documentary the other day about the Citicorp Center in New York City. It’s a beautiful skyscraper, but it is famous for being a potential disaster because of a series of design flaws. The building’s structural integrity was so severely compromised that if the building were hit with hurricane force winds, it was susceptible to collapse.

The story reminded me just how fragile our society is and how important it is for us to have a strong foundation in God. We are in a “hurricane season” of sorts right now in this world. If we as believers aren’t rooted in the truth of God’s Word, we are bound to fall.

Isaiah 40:8 says, “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” I want to be someone who stands for God’s Word, because His truth will never fail.
