The Burning Question:
Dad deserves _________ for Father’s Day.
Morning Devotional:
I love it when the word of God reminds us how often we miss the forest for the trees.
In the book of the Bible that bears his name, Habakkuk is clearly frustrated by what’s going on around him. He points out to the Lord all of the injustice and violence he was seeing, convinced that justice would never prevail. God clearly had a plan, and in Habakkuk 1:5 the Lord tells him in essence to buckle up, because “I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn’t believe even if someone told you about it.” God did, too, which helps to bring me to a place of strength when I’m having a hard time seeing Him move.
We often wonder if God is really doing anything for us. We see the depravity and hopelessness around us and ask Him when he will get busy fixing things. We think He’s not working but in reality, He is. We have to believe what He says, take Him at His word, and trust Him. Are you a person who can watch and wait with faith, believing God has his hand on the problem? God is always at work, so watch, wait and get ready to be amazed!
