Morning Devotional:
Cooking dinner with Abbie is like an obstacle course. She positions herself exactly where I need to step, and she is always convinced that something delicious is coming her way. It almost got dangerous last night as she got way too close to a hot oven door. I had to get her to step back fast before she got burned.
We often do the same with sin. We get too close to what we shouldn’t. We stay in the wrong conversations, scroll a little too long on the screens. We hover where temptation lives.
That’s why I’m glad God’s grace is greater. In Titus, we’re reminded that by His grace, we can say no to those things. His grace doesn’t just forgive us. His grace strengthens us to resist temptation when it comes. We might not have the best willpower, but we know the One who is all powerful and can help us stay way.
