Burning Question:
What is an organizing tip or principle that works for you?
Morning Devotional:
I’m diabetic, and normally my insulin pump faithfully operates in quiet mode. But when it loses its Bluetooth connection, it lets me know with a loud, shrill alarm. When that happens, I need to figure out what’s wrong and reestablish the connection. If I don’t, I could find myself in big trouble with my blood sugars.
I wish our spiritual lives worked the same way. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a loud siren that went off when the “signal” between us and God gets blocked? There are internal alarms that sound, though – things like stress, impatience, and frustration.
Jesus said in John 15:5, “I am the vine; you are the branches… apart from me you can do nothing.” Life works best when we make sure to stay connected to the One who keeps us steady.
