The Burning Question:
What is something you need to let go of?
Morning Devotional:
I had to see my eye doctor again yesterday.
I had just been there a month ago and received a couple pairs of contact lenses to test drive before I decided on which prescription would work best for me. I should have been able to narrow my search down by now, except for the fact that about three weeks ago, I made a terrible mistake. I had somehow mixed up the prescriptions one night by putting both pairs of contact lenses in the same case. The next morning, I went to put in my contacts and realized I had two lenses for my left eye and two for my right eye. I had no idea which lens was which, and which was for which prescription. On top of it all, I couldn’t see a thing.
Life is not easy when you can’t see things clearly, especially when your career revolves around screens and computer work. When you can’t clearly see the things of God? Well, that’s another story entirely. Thankfully, that’s an easy fix because our Father wants us to be able to see the way we are to go clearly, and He invites us to ask Him to make the way known. Psalm 119:18 says, “Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in Your word.” God’s Word is given to us with love and with a desire to make life work. We need to have eyes that are open to explore and discover how God wants us to live and to see life as wonderful!
