What Day is it?

Burning Question:

What is a creative way to share Jesus?

Morning Devotional:

I was sitting at my desk this morning when my eyes landed on my puppy’s Lambchop toy, sitting on top of my printer. It stared back at me… or, it would have, if it still had a face.

Lambchop number two has been carried around, played with, loved, slobbered on, and chewed to pieces. I’ve stitched her up more than once but now her face is pretty much gone and I’m questioning if she is beyond my ability to repair.

It made me think about how life can make us feel. Sometimes we feel just as chewed up, beaten down, with essential parts of us feeling lost or beyond repair. But we have a great promise from God. God never looks at us and sees a lost cause. He sees His beloved child. The Bible says in Psalm 34:18, “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” If you’re feeling like that faceless little lamb, take heart. God is the one who gently and perfectly restores what’s been lost. He never gives up on us.
