The Burning Question:
It’s Spring! That means it’s time to do what?
Morning Devotional:
When I think of people that I know who are doing things for the Kingdom, I know quite a few movers and shakers. My aunt and uncle have carried the message of Jesus Christ to some of the farthest corners of the earth for decades. A woman I know took her obedient spirit and her love of farming and started a tree reforestation project and Christian ministry to the people of Haiti. I could speak of other people I know who work in Christian disaster relief organizations, crisis pregnancy centers, homeless shelters, you name it – they are producing fruit for God’s kingdom, and it is good fruit.
Do you ever find yourself comparing fruit, though? If so, don’t, because you don’t have to do big things that change the world. Just do a little something that changes the world for one person at a time. It may only take a few seconds – whether it be buying a cup of coffee, giving a hug, offering a ride, whatever. The smallest good deed could mean the world to someone in need of a genuine show of love and compassion.
Romans 7 reminds us that we have been united with Christ so that we can produce a harvest of good fruit for Him. Let’s make sure we are doing whatever He asks of us, big or small, knowing that every good fruit we produce is making an impact.
