Burning Question:
It’s National Repeat Day! What vacation was SO AMAZING, you want to try and do it again?
Morning Devotional:
My front patio seems to be in a constant battle with the wind, especially where my favorite flowerpot is concerned. I bought the pot recently – geraniums included – but it just can’t seem to stay upright. I came home once again yesterday afternoon to find it knocked over, with dirt spilled all over the cement. It has become a routine at my house on windy days such as yesterday.
Have you ever felt like that flowerpot? You think you’re firmly planted and growing when suddenly, an unforeseen “wind”—a setback, a disappointment, a trial or even just daily stress—comes along and knocks you off balance. You might feel a bit messy, a little bruised, maybe even broken.
It’s in those moments that we need to remember where our true strength comes from. Colossians 2:7 encourages us to be “rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” This verse isn’t just talking about faith; it’s encouraging resilience.
Whenever my flowerpot falls over, I pick it up and set it back in place. God does the same for you and me, and as He does, He upholds us with His mighty hand. So, the next time life tips you over, remember whose hands are reaching out to set you right again. You are safe when the divine Gardener is watching over you.
