Burning Question:
Who or what has helped point you in the right direction at an important moment in your life?
Morning Devotional:
Yesterday afternoon, my puppy, Abbie, was having a field day sitting on top of her favorite snowdrift in our front yard. She sits there with such pride as the queen of her “kingdom” from that tiny peak. To her, that snowdrift is a mountain; to me, it’s in the way. It was warm enough yesterday for me to take the shovel and level off some of the drift – a move she vehemently opposed.
There are days when I wish my troubles were like that snowdrift – easily knocked down! But no, they often feel like Mount Everest, blocking our way. But God is the ultimate mountain leveler. What feels like an insurmountable peak to us is something He can smooth over with a single word. When you feel dwarfed by the obstacles ahead, remember that the God who created the stars is the same one who can move your mountain.
