Burning Question:
What is something you had to leave behind in order to move forward?
Morning Devotional:
Have you ever felt really comfortable only to have life flip you upside down? Apparently, it’s a dangerous phenomenon for sheep.
When a sheep lies down and becomes too relaxed, it can roll onto its back and get stuck in that position. It becomes what is called a “cast sheep,” which can be life threatening if it can’t get up. To save the sheep, a shepherd will gently roll it over, massage its legs to restore blood flow, and support it until it can stand upright again.
Lately, I have found myself grateful for Jesus, our good Shepherd, because He loves me enough to pick me up when life knocks me down. Sometimes I find myself in those green pastures with my limbs flailing, unable to get up. He has always proven faithful to restore my soul.
