Burning Question:
What is something you’ve been afraid to start because you didn’t feel ready yet?
Morning Devotional:
I am currently watching a package I ordered play hopscotch across the United States. It started in Massachusetts and has traveled through Chicago, Illinois; then Denver, and then St. Louis, and now it has been sitting just outside of Des Moines for the past three days. How this package is racking up more frequent flyer miles than I am is a mystery to me!
It’s easy to feel like my delivery is never coming, just like the answers to some of the prayers I have been sending up to God. But a delay is not a denial; it’s a test of patience and trust.
The prophet Micah says this to us in chapter seven of his book, “But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.” We don’t always like the “transit time” of an answer from God, but we can rest assured that eventually, the answer will come.
