What Day is it?

Burning Question:

How has God revealed Himself to you in unexpected ways?

Morning Devotional:

Recognized and Heard

I couldn’t Place the Voice.  A few weeks ago, my daughter, Glory, called me at work. She was at her own job and needed a ride home—but she had forgotten her phone. Without it, she couldn’t remember my number, but she was able to look up the radio station’s number and borrow a friend’s phone to call.

The first call came in, and all I heard was an exasperated voice saying, “I can’t hear anything on this phone!” Then—click. The call ended.

I had no idea who it was.

Then, the phone rang again. This time, Glory explained the situation and asked if I could pick her up after work. Of course! Now that I knew who it was, there was no hesitation—I was happy to help.

That moment made me think about how we approach God in prayer. Sometimes, we come to Him with hurried, frustrated words—maybe even feeling unheard. But when we come to Him as His children, with trust and faith, He hears us. And He always responds.

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” – John 10:27

God never fails to recognize us when we call out to Him. He doesn’t ignore or dismiss us. Instead, He listens, responds, and welcomes us as His beloved children.

So today, remember—you are known by God. When you call, He hears. And when you trust Him, He will always make a way.
