Burning Question:
What’s something that felt like a weight off your shoulders?
Morning Devotional:
My nickname is not Goldilocks but I do like it when things are “just right.”
I had a picture‑perfect evening all mapped out. But over the course of the afternoon, everything shifted. A task I was working on took longer than I hoped. A need popped up. A small crisis demanded my attention.
My first instinct was to be irritated. I had a plan and I wanted it to happen! But God clearly had something else in mind. His plans aren’t always convenient, but I can say they are always good.
Proverbs 16:9 is an absolutely true statement: “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” By the time I went to bed, I felt strangely grateful that God had rewritten the script.
