Burning Question:
What is the big thing that you are thinking about today?
Morning Devotional:
I got back into my water aerobics workout yesterday after being gone for way too long and my body definitely felt my absence. About halfway through my set, my legs were feeling like lead. Nothing about my workout had changed. My routine was the same, the resistance I was getting from the water was the same, but my level of endurance had definitely slipped.
We all have seasons when we feel like we are out of shape, physically and spiritually. I have had times when prayer feels like a chore and my patience with God in times of trial is paper-thin. But as it says in Hebrews 10:36, “You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.” Endurance isn’t about feeling strong; it’s choosing to stay in the pool when you feel weak.
