Morning Devotional:
I was on the phone yesterday with a friend making arrangements to pay them a visit this weekend. As we were wrapping up, they said something that instantly made my day: “We just can’t wait to see you!” I almost cried because it felt so good to be genuinely wanted.
As I hung up, I couldn’t help but think that is exactly how God feels about you and me every single day. He doesn’t just tolerate us. He actually desires our company. Zephaniah 3:17 says that the Lord will take great delight in us. Think about that! The Creator of the universe delights in us and can’t wait to spend time with us. If you’ve been feeling lonely or cast aside lately, remember this: you are deeply wanted by the King of Kings.
