Morning Devotional:
Have you ever been blessed with the awe-inspiring moment of witnessing a baby’s arrival? Perhaps you stood witness to the birth of your own child, a grandchild, or another cherished member of your family. In that precious instance, you beheld the radiance in their tender eyes, or perhaps witnessed their struggle to adjust to the newfound brightness of the world. As they gazed upon reality for the first time, a profound transition unfolded, leaving behind the familiar confines and darkness of the womb.
Researchers say that a baby’s eye sockets begin to form as early as the fifth week of pregnancy, while their eyelids remain sealed until the seventh month. Even after birth, the intricate connection between their eyes and developing brain continues to grow. God possesses an intimate knowledge of each of us even before our earthly journey begins. Life, from its inception, is a continuum of growth and progress under God’s loving care. Even before our parents are aware of our existence, God knows us and loves us.
