What Day Is It?

The Burning Question:

What purchases have you made did you think are a waste of your money?

Morning Devotional:

What would you do on a dare?

A friend of mine once jumped out of a plane. It was filmed for a television show, and I got to watch the segment a few days after he did it. The segment started with him on the ground, sitting on a bench with his head down, rocking back and forth. You couldn’t hear the audio because of the narration but you could tell he was praying hard!  He did a terrific job with the jump, but once he was on the ground he came to a simple conclusion. He would never do it again!

I don’t necessarily enjoy taking leaps of faith and jumping out of a plane would be a big one.  But frankly, many of the leaps of faith God has asked of me have felt like that – at first. Your leap of faith doesn’t have to feel like a freefall when we know we are being helped, guided and protected by our Father God. Psalm 46:1 reminds us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble.” He won’t let you fall down flat.
