What Day Is It?

The Burning Question:

How can churches best serve singles?

Morning Devotional:

I think it was a wee bit confused – but then again, I think we all are considering the winter we have had.

I saw a news story out of Iowa yesterday stating the first robin of spring had been spotted. What?! Robins are supposed to be a sure sign of spring but according to my calculations, we are almost five weeks from the spring equinox.

Don’t get me wrong – I am all for the arrival of spring and I am more than ready for it. I am longing to get out and enjoy the sunshine, the green grass and all of the refreshing that comes after a dull winter. I just question the timing.

We all have seasons that lead to a lot of questions. Some are good and some are not so hot. Some are filled with trials and some deliver healing but no matter what, God has a hand in them all. Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us that “to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” What those purposes are may remain a mystery, but God leads us through them nonetheless.
