Burning Question:
What makes you feel appreciated?
Morning Devotional:
There’s nothing like a thaw to show you what’s really going on in your yard.
Now that most of the snow has melted, I have discovered rocks from my flower beds all over my lawn. I spent a chunk of time yesterday afternoon picking up the rocks and putting them back into the flower beds where they are supposed to be contained. I was also listening to Kinship on our app, enjoying our music. As time went on, the Lord started talking to me.
As I picked up more and more rocks, the more God revealed to me about how I’ve been worshiping Him lately – primarily, how I haven’t as much as I could. I get caught up in the day‑to‑day stuff and sometimes, I let my worship to the Lord go. The words of Luke 19:40 echoed in my mind: “If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”
My messy yard was a lesson that worship to God will not be contained. When it comes to praising my Lord. I don’t want a rock to outdo me.
