Burning Question:
Do you have a funny ‘cold weather fail’ story?
Morning Devotional:
Good soup.
My wife made soup—a spicy Italian sausage soup with potatoes and kale—and it was crazy good. Did my kids like it? Well… results were mixed. Three or four of them definitely did not like it. Korban wasn’t a surprise; he doesn’t like soup as a rule. But Zebedee, Mercy, and Kalvary? They were on board.
I’m still hoping their tastes mature a bit—because honestly, as a kid, I probably wouldn’t have liked it either. But here’s a bonus for me: any leftovers become my lunches, and I get to enjoy the blessing all over again.
It reminded me of 1 Corinthians 10:31:
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
Sometimes blessings come in small, everyday ways—like a good meal, a favorite recipe, or leftovers to enjoy later. Even when everyone doesn’t appreciate it the same way, God’s gifts are still meant to be savored. May we take joy in the little things He provides and give thanks for each one, big or small.
