What Day Is It?

Burning Question:

It’s National Train Your Brain Day!   What do you do to stay mentally sharp?

Morning Devotional:

I don’t know what brought it on but yesterday, my puppy was a whirlwind of adorable destruction.

At one point, she dragged her toy bag out into the middle of the living room, emptied it out and proceeded to chew up nearly every toy in it. Only the tennis ball was truly safe. I now have a puppy toy “hospital” on my kitchen table, complete with a needle and thread. I’m going to need an entire evening to reattach all the limbs that are falling off.

It made me think about how God must see us. We go through life and get chewed up by circumstances, relationships, and our own mistakes. We feel torn apart, with our hope and joy spilling out like stuffing. But God doesn’t see us as ruined goods to be discarded. Instead, He sees a beloved creation worth mending. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 147:3, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” He is the great physician, patiently stitching our souls back together. No wound is too great for His gentle care.
