Burning Question:
What is one good habit that you have that you’ve been able to stick with?
Morning Devotional:
Yesterday morning I decided to wake up early so I could come into the office and get a little work done before church. When I went to turn the overhead light on in my bedroom, the light in the room flickered and I heard a soft “pop” sound. The bulb in my ceiling light fixture had burned out and I was in the dark.
When I went to install a new bulb in my lamp, I came upon a problem. The only spare light bulb I had was a bulb I had apparently purchased for something I wanted to light up like the noonday sun. It was way too big and the absolutely wrong wattage for the fixture I wanted to install it in.
There used to be a day years ago when I loved working in near darkness. I remember being on the air here at Kinship Radio late in the evenings working by the glow of just the computer screens. I’m older now and wise enough to know that I need a lot of light to see what I’m doing.
We see a whole lot of darkness around us in this world so we have to live knowing the truth of what Jesus spoke in John 8:12: “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” Why stay in the dark when you can have Jesus Christ? Make Him your Lord and Savior today.
