Burning Question:
What summer activity are you still hoping to do?
Morning Devotional:
Sometimes all we need to do is fill in the blank. For me, it is the blank behind this two word phrase: But God.
There was a time not too long ago when I was encouraged by that phrase. When I felt like the problems in my life were too big to handle, I was pressed to follow my problem with what God had to say about it. The problem is this, but God is bigger than my problem. I am feeling abandoned and alone but God says He will never leave me or forsake me. Everyone is against me, but God is for me. See how it works?
The scriptures are filled with “but God” moments where His children faced a trial and saw the problem solved with a fulfilled promise from the Lord. The problem you’re facing today can be tackled by filling in the blank. My battle is this, but God is this. God is always faithful.
