Burning Question:
Our big announcement: It’s Beth’s last day at Kinship Radio. What would you like to say to her?
Morning Devotional:
My dog, Abbie, loves the backyard. But my favorite thing is watching her stop in the middle of her romp to listen to the neighborhood. She will freeze, sit her little rear end down, tilt her head and concentrate so hard on what she’s hearing. It could be another dog, a bird, the neighbors on their patio, whatever. She is laser focused. I wish she paid that much attention to me.
There are days when I am less than attentive to the voice of the Lord – days when I wonder if the Father wishes I would pay more attention. I should be, too, because God is always speaking.
Proverbs 8:34 says, “Blessed are those who listen to me.” God wants us to have that “Abbie-like” alertness – a heart that is ready to stop at any moment to catch what the Father is saying. Let’s quiet our hearts and listen closely to Him today.
