What Day is it?

Burning Question:

You have chalk!  What would you write or draw on your sidewalk?

Morning Devotional:

My home has been feeling less like a haven and more like a battleground lately. Everywhere I look, I have clutter—piles on the kitchen counters, my desk, on kitchen chairs – it’s just a mess, and it is weighing on me. It’s not just the clutter in my house that’s draining; it’s the constant cycle of things to do and things to put away and the reminders that I am really behind on things. Last night, I desperately wanted to find some peace in the chaos.

This morning, I was led to read Isaiah 26:3: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” My mind right now has been anything but steadfast. It’s easy to think that if I just get rid of all the clutter, then peace will magically appear. But Isaiah reminds us that true peace comes from a mind fixed on God, He is the source of my peace.

When I get home today, I’m tackling the piles around my house. As I do, I’m hoping to declutter my mind by fixing it on Jesus. He can bring the calm I need, even in the midst of my mess.
