What Day Is It?

The Burning Question:

What is your best opening line to share Jesus with someone?

Morning Devotional:

I’m thinking about buying a watch. There are a couple of problems with this plan, however. One, I already own two watches; and two, the kind of watch I am hoping to buy is not for the reason of telling time.  The kind I’m hoping to purchase is more like a smartphone I can strap to my wrist.

Have you stopped to think about where you look to find out what time it is? For me, it’s my smartphone. For you, it might be a clock on the wall, the day and time setting on your computer screen, waiting for your Kinship Radio announcer to tell you the time, or your bedside alarm clock.

There is a ticking clock we all need to be aware of, but it is one where we don’t know the exact time.  It’s a heavenly clock per se, and the time we need to be watching for is the date and time of Jesus Christ’s return. The Word tells us we don’t know the day or the hour but we need to be ready for it, and living in that timeframe. So what time is it?  Time to be ready for His return by making sure we have made Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Is He the Lord of your life today?
