What Day is it?

Burning Question:

What are some of your favorite things to do that do not cost anything?

Morning Devotional:

I had a need, and they were right there to meet it. Three pieces of my favorite sea salt caramels.

I keep a stash of sweet treats in my locked desk drawer in case of emergencies, such as bad days. I grabbed my keys and with a quick turn of the lock, my moment of peace enjoying the blend of salty and sweet began. Perhaps you are a fan of the sea salt caramel combination? To me, it’s the perfect flavor. When the two tastes are balanced just right, the candy satisfies both the sweet tooth and the salty craving. There’s nothing quite like it in my book.

I enjoy it when the Lord speaks to me like sea salt caramels – sweetly and full of grace; and with truth sprinkled like salt. He offers both to us and shows us very clearly in Colossians 4 that we are to interact with others the same way.

I need to restock my desk drawer with some sea salt caramels for next week. It will be a great reminder of how I am to relate to others, and how I can share His love and the gospel message as well. Salty and sweet, truth with grace.
