What Day is it?

The Burning Question:

Where do you go to find Quiet?

Morning Devotional:

There WILL be a dessert!  It is a question that is heard at almost every meal at our house.  “Mom, will there be a dessert?”  The answer sometimes decides whether that kid is going to eat the main food, because if there is dessert, they KNOW that if they don’t eat the main food, they aren’t going to be allowed the desert either.  Korban has figured out a way to game the system however, on those evenings that my wife says there is no desert.  Because we have a policy that you don’t go hungry.  So if you are hungry at almost any time, the kids know that they can grab a cheese stick, a piece of Fruit or a Granola bar.  So the second he is done eating, hears no dessert, he just hops up and snags himself a granola bar… for dessert.  THERE WILL BE DESERT in Korbans Mind.  But if you think about it, no matter how tough things get in life, how hard, how painful… If we know Jesus, we have a sweet, sweet future.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28 (NIV)

Just as our children eagerly await the promise of dessert after their meal, we too can find assurance in the promises of God. Despite the challenges and uncertainties we face, we can trust that God is working all things together for our good.
