What Day is it?

Burning Question:

Do you have a Post Christmas Tradition?  What is something you always do right after Christmas?

Morning Devotional:

There Is Never Enough.

We have a party mix recipe that absolutely rocks. I mean, it’s really, really good. And every Christmas, we make a huge batch and give tons of it away.

But somehow, there’s never enough. Every time we hand a bag to someone, I wish it were a bigger container—because I know they’re probably going to finish it in one sitting. And our kids always ask the same question: “Why can’t we have more of it?” After all, we give so much away.

It reminds me of John 6:12, after Jesus fed the crowd:
“When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, ‘Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.’”

When we put generosity first, it can feel like we’re running out. But God has a way of reminding us that He is the One who provides—and often, there’s more than we realize. Giving doesn’t leave us empty; it invites God to work in ways we couldn’t manage on our own.

May we never be afraid to give generously, trusting that the God who multiplies loaves and fish is more than able to take care of what we need, too.
