What Day is it?

Burning Question:

What was your most memorable summer vacation?

Morning Devotional:

I left work yesterday more than once and when I finally landed at home, I was in a pretty sour mood. The reasons why are too many to mention, but by the evening I was so low I was pretty sure I had bounced a couple of times on rock bottom. It never fails, though – when I get into a tough spot, the Lord finds a creative way to pull me out of them.

Last night, I got caught up watching a website featuring performances from Christian standup comedians. I laughed for about an hour straight. You know how they say laughter is the best medicine? I got a dose of the finest stuff out there and I really needed it.

There is a time and season for everything and that includes laughter. We all have those times when the world would tell us that we have every right to sulk but in those moments, there is a promise we need to remember from the Lord. Job 8:21 says, “He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.”
