What Day is it?

Morning Devotional:

Why does everything have to be so complicated!!!  As a father, I find myself helping my adult and soon-to-be-adult children navigate through some pretty grown-up stuff – like Federal Student Aid, Health Care, Car insurance, and even Internet issues. It feels like everything is becoming more and more complicated. Seriously, how many passwords do we really need? And where do all these forms even go?

But in the midst of this complexity, it’s also a great opportunity to show them that no matter how overwhelming it may seem, God is still in control. Nothing is too complicated for Him. It’s a reminder I need too. It brings to mind that children’s song, “He’s got the whole world in his hands.” Why is that considered a children’s song? Maybe because it’s a simple yet powerful truth that we all need to remember.

So, amidst the chaos of adulting, let’s take a moment to acknowledge that God’s got it all under control. Sing that reassuring song, maybe in your car on the way to work this morning, and let it be a reminder that, no matter how tangled life gets, He’s got the whole world – and all its complications – in His hands.
