What Day Is It?

Burning Question:

What is the best thing that happened in 2025?

Morning Devotional:

We all have obstacles to overcome.

Mine this week was a snowdrift up to my chest blocking the entire entrance to my garage. This was not fun to discover when you have to be at work at 5:00 am to tell people listening to your radio show to stay home because of the weather. I had to get to work so that mountain had to move.

When we are facing obstacles, it’s tempting to panic and rush into a solution, but those moments often call for something else – a moment of quiet trust. After a strategically orchestrated cut into one end of the snowdrift with my snowblower and a prayer for a city plow to arrive, I was at the office with time to spare.

Before we start shoveling through the problems we face on a given day, we must first believe that God sees the solution we can’t see. Our first action item should be to lean into Him because He is the ultimate mountain mover.
