Morning Devotional:
Living on Mission on Vacation
When we go on vacation, we often think of it as a time to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. But do we sometimes forget, or pause our mission in Life?
The apostle Paul encouraged the believers in Rome to “never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord” (Romans 12:11). This means that our life in Jesus is meant to be lived intentionally and with enthusiasm, even on vacation.
Here are a few ideas for how you can live on mission on vacation:
- Pray for the people you will encounter. Ask God to show you how you can be a blessing to them.
- Be a good witness to others. Share your faith with those the Holy spirit prompts you to.
- Serve others in need. Look for opportunities to help those around you.
- Worship God with all your heart. Attend a church service and praise God with other believers.
Vacation can be a great time to grow in our relationship with God and to share His love with others. Let’s make the most of it!
