What Day is it?

The Burning Question:

What do you almost always eat and almost always regret?

Morning Devotional:

Because of the storms that passed through our region yesterday, I was at the radio station well into the early evening. When the time came for me to leave for the day, I noticed it was still raining quite heavily. As I stood in the entryway of our building, staring at my car in the parking lot and calculating the distance between the two points, a single thought crossed my mind.

Should I make a run for it?

Nah, I said to myself and proceeded to casually walk to my car, letting myself be drenched and sparing myself the embarrassment and potential asthma attack a full sprint would bring on.

When we find ourselves in stormy times, we like to have places where we can find shelter, right? I know I do. When things get tough, I like being able to know where I am safe. The same holds true for the spiritual storms we find ourselves in. Where can we run to when we are weak?

Psalm 46:1 says “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”  I’m going to run to Him!
