What Day Is It?

The Burning Question:

It’s National Siblings Day! What is a story about one of your siblings?

Morning Devotional:

I found myself doing a little daydreaming yesterday about my upcoming vacation. It’s been a long time since I have taken a week to just go somewhere new, enjoy myself and get some rest. I went online and got lots of ideas for places to go and things to do but there was one thing that made me hesitate. I didn’t want to go alone. Having a travel partner would be great if I were to consider going to a fancier destination, and seeing the sights would be much more meaningful with a friend.

My daydreaming made me think of my own walk of faith and the journey we all are on with the Lord.  Though some have walked this path relatively alone, God’s people are never lone rangers in the life of faith. I lean on the promise we have that Jesus himself is our travel companion.  He tells us in Matthew 28, “Surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” No matter the road we travel, He’ll be there.
