Morning Devotional:
I know I may be talking mostly to the ladies here but there may be a few guys out there who have had this problem. You stare at the bedroom closet and say to yourself, “What am I going to wear?” That was me this morning. I didn’t get the laundry done like I was supposed to this weekend so I needed to find the perfect combination of what was clean versus what looked halfway decent together and I needed to do it fast because I was late to work. Things weren’t looking right, things weren’t matching, things weren’t fitting right, until finally! I had a working outfit and I was ready to get on with the day.
Or so I thought.
I got in the car and headed to work, thinking I was all set for the day, but this “feeling” was still hanging over my head – a dark cloud, if you will, trying to pull on my mood. It almost worked, too, until I realized the one last thing I needed to put on to make my wardrobe complete – a little bit of advice from the Lord found in Isaiah 61. I needed “the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.” It only took about four minutes in the car to put it on, too – a rousing song of praise from Kinship Radio and a commitment to give Him my worship always makes it easy. If you’re having a hard time figuring out what to wear today, you can’t go wrong with praise!
