Burning Question:
Who do you know who has been a great example of living out their faith and why?
Morning Devotional:
It seems to be more of a challenge as of late for me to get the words out I need to in order to do my job.
Coming to work at zero dark thirty will do that to a person. I would much rather remain in bed than recite headline after headline about global tragedies at 6:30 in the morning. I work in live radio, though, and overcoming the pre-dawn mumble and stutter tendencies is the daily task at hand. When I speak something, it doesn’t hold a great deal of power. When God speaks, that’s a different story.
Whenever God spoke, things would happen. He created the universe and everything in it by speaking it into being. When Jesus spoke, healings came and the dead were raised again. Forgiveness is granted and His children are encouraged because of what the Lord has done and spoken.
The Lord says in Isaiah 55:11, “So shall My word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Are you listening for what the Lord has to say to you? When God speaks, everything changes.
