The Burning Question:
What’s something you’ve struggled with in relationships, and how have you navigated it?
Morning Devotional:
When my wife Kris got sick recently, it was like the gears of our household came grinding to a halt. Kris is the one who keeps everything running smoothly, from organizing schedules to making sure everyone’s needs are met. But for a couple of days, she had to rest and recover. That left the rest of us—me and the kids—facing a choice: Would we let the chaos take over, or would we step up to fill the gap?
It wasn’t perfect, but we worked together. The kids pitched in with chores, I juggled tasks I don’t usually handle, and we all learned something important: when one part of the body is weak, the other parts have to step up and carry the load.
It reminded me of Paul’s words in Galatians 6:2: “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
When someone in your family, your church, or your community is struggling, God calls us to step in and help. It’s not about doing it perfectly—it’s about showing love through our actions. And when we do, we reflect the selfless love of Jesus, who carried the ultimate burden for us on the cross.
So, the next time someone in your life needs help, don’t hesitate to step up. You might just find that in serving them, God is strengthening you too.
