Morning Devotional:

I studied music and theater in college, fully intending to move to New York City and become a Broadway star.  I love live theater and would still love to be involved in the art form somehow.  There’s just one problem.  I don’t like rejection, and there is a lot of it in the performing arts. I experienced a of rejection when I was younger of course, auditioning for parts in plays and musicals. I wanted so much to be chosen, accepted, hired for the best role.  I also felt a lot of rejection in the day-to-day life stuff, too.  But when I came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, all of that changed.

Ephesians chapter one tells us that God has “predestined us for adoption as His children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will.”  There is no doubt in my mind, and there shouldn’t be in yours, that we are wanted, chosen, and deeply loved by God.
