Morning Devotional:
I saw the cutest picture last night and I don’t know whose smile was bigger, hers or mine.
My cousin and his wife got married several years ago and since that time, they struggled to have a child. They suffered loss after loss until finally, they had a daughter. Her name is Whitney and she is an absolute angel! As soon as the first picture of her circulated among the family, the comments were all the same. “She looks a lot like her Dad.” She’s about seven months old now, and last night I saw her most recent photo. The resemblance is now unmistakable. She is identical to her father’s baby photo at that age. There’s no denying it – Whitney is her father’s daughter and I pray she carries that compliment into adulthood as a badge of honor!
Did you know the same thing is happening to you and me when it comes to our relationship with the Lord? As followers of Jesus, I pray we not only have that same attitude but also make that a life goal. The Word says we are being transformed into His image from glory to glory. Let’s be sure we’re not fighting it. I love the resemblance!
