The Burning Question:
I would rather step on Legos while barefoot than __________.
Morning Devotional:
So I found myself the other day in yet another moment of disbelief. I never seem to learn that God is faithful and good. As I came to my spiritual senses and went to the Lord about the matter, He reminded me that my particular moment of doubt was not HIs first crisis to solve.
All throughout time God’s people had their momentary lapses in memory when it came to His faithfulness. The Israelites had them a lot. God freed them from years of slavery, promising them a new land flowing with milk and honey. He rained down food from heaven and provided water from a rock and yet they still forgot God’s goodness when times got tough.
Did that stop God from showing them grace, or prevent Him from meeting their needs? No. Psalm 106 shares the people’s testimony: “When our ancestors were in Egypt, they gave no thought to your miracles; they did not remember your many kindnesses, and they rebelled by the sea, the Red Sea. Yet he saved them for his name’s sake, to make his mighty power known.” He will do the same for you.
