What Day is it?

The Burning Question:

What is something around your house that is a little bit broken but you are living with it?

Morning Devotional:

Everyone needs Mom. This is Mornings with Ryan and Beth on Kinship Radio.

But she is nowhere to be found. My wife, Kris, does not sit still. She does not stand still. There is always some project or task she needs to tackle. The most common question in our house is, “Where’s Mom?” It’s because she’s so capable, but it’s frustrating when I need to ask her a question and then have to go on a scavenger hunt to track her down.

It got me thinking—how often do we do the same thing with God? We know He’s there, but sometimes we feel like we’re on a spiritual scavenger hunt, trying to track Him down in the middle of our busy lives. But unlike us, God isn’t hard to find. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 29:13, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

God’s not playing hide-and-seek with us. He’s always present, always available, and always ready to listen. Sometimes, we just need to stop, be still, and intentionally seek Him out. Just like finding Kris often brings the solution I need, finding God in our daily lives brings peace, guidance, and the answers we’re searching for.

So today, take a moment to pause and seek Him. He’s not far—He’s just waiting for you to reach out.
