Objective: serve the growing number of Kinship Radio listeners and advance the mission and vision of Kinship Radio by coordinating and growing the Kinship Ambassador (volunteer) program. This person will also serve as a receptionist at the front desk of the ministry and assist with other clerical duties as needed by the administrative team.
D U T I E S
- Reports to the Kinship Radio Operations Director
- Work with the Executive Director and Operations Director to coordinate the recruitment and retention of Kinship Radio volunteers
- Coordinates a regular schedule of activities for volunteer involvement (inclusive of the May women’s conference and other station sponsored events)
- Ensures volunteers are well-prepared for activities to accomplish by providing the necessary resources
- Develops a culture of belonging and ownership among volunteers through regular updates and get togethers
- Fields volunteer questions and concerns
- Serves as the liaison between Kinship staff and volunteers, ensuring staff and volunteers mutually respect and benefit the work each is doing
- Assists the Office Coordinator/Lead Receptionist with responsibilities related to the front office, its appearance, the greeting of guests, answering phones, sorting and directing of mail and email received, digital messaging, and other clerical responsibilities
- Assist with staff and listener communication of prayer requests, community events, etc within the office and on the ministry’s website
- Other duties as may be assigned
Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S
- Must agree with and live a life reflective of Kinship Radio’s Statement of Faith
- High School diploma or GED, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Characteristics of integrity, humility, respect
- Skills and experience in organizing and inspiring groups toward completion of an objective
- Position requires strong skills in organizing and executing details
- Work environment favors a balanced introvert and extrovert personality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
- Proficiency in Word, with additional skills in Excel, Adobe, Photoshop, and other office software are a plus
- Lifting of 10-20 pounds, some driving
This is a part-time position of 20-25 hours per week. The possibility of work on an occasional evening or Saturday may be necessary at a Kinship Radio event.
