What Day is it?

Burning Question:

What is the most lost you’ve been and where?

Morning Devotional:

Well, Don’t I Feel Handy Today? 😊

The check engine light was on again.

Now, with our vehicles, that is not necessarily cause for alarm. It feels like at least one of our cars always has a check engine light glowing somewhere. But this time, our “Bruiser Cruiser” was also running rough, so I figured I should investigate.

I pulled out my little diagnostic tool and plugged it in. Usually, when I get a code back, it means one thing: I am about to call someone who knows what they are doing.

I am not a particularly handy person.

But this time, the code pointed to the ignition coils. And I thought, Wait a minute… I’ve done that before.

So I bought the parts, replaced the coils, and crossed my fingers.

And it worked.

The engine smoothed out. The problem was fixed.

I think no one was more surprised than I was.

It got me thinking about how often we underestimate what God has already taught us. When a new challenge comes along, we assume we are not equipped, not qualified, or not capable. But sometimes God has been preparing us all along through experiences we have already had.

2 Timothy 1:6 says, “Fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you.”

God often uses what He has already placed in our lives. The lessons we have learned. The skills we have developed. The experiences we have gained.

Sometimes we are praying for a miracle when God is saying, “Remember what I already taught you.”

So if you are facing a challenge today, do not immediately assume you are incapable. Take a look at what God has already done in your life. He may have prepared you for this moment long before you realized it.
