Burning Question:
If every Job paid the exact same salary, what would you do?
Morning Devotional:
He Needed a New Phone
In our family, the kids get a cell phone when they finish 8th grade and head into high school. I know some families do it earlier and some do it later, but that timing has worked well for us.
Well, Malachi just finished high school, which means his phone was about four years old. It was a starter smartphone. Low memory, basic features, and honestly, it had done its job well.
But then we discovered a problem. His college required students to download an app, and his phone simply could not handle it. It was too old. Too limited.
So it was time for an upgrade.
We got him a newer phone, and he has been thrilled. What was funny is that he did not even realize how slow his old phone had become until he started using the new one. Suddenly everything worked better. More capability. More storage. Faster performance. And most importantly, the app he needed worked perfectly.
How easy is it to get used to limitations. Sometimes we settle into habits, attitudes, or ways of thinking and do not even realize how much they are holding us back.
Then God begins to change us, and we discover there is so much more available than we realized.
Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.”
Sometimes we are content with what we have always known. But God is in the business of growth. He wants to expand our faith, deepen our trust, and show us more of what He can do in and through us. Let him Stretch you!
