What Day Is It?

Burning Question:

Why are you the way you are?

Morning Devotional:

It was almost a disaster!  My curling iron broke yesterday.

I almost threw it out, too. But when I took a closer look and determined that fixing a small piece of plastic could bring my curling iron back to life, I had to go for it. Out came the super glue, and after a half hour and a lot of patience, the curling iron is now good as new.

There is a story in the book of Jeremiah about a potter who didn’t let a defect in a product stop him from creating a work of art. When His clay was damaged, He didn’t give up on it. Instead, He reworked it. Sometimes we can feel like that broken thing, crushed under pressure and seemingly useless. But God applies His love on us like a spiritual adhesive. We are not beyond repair. We are merely in the process of being remade.
