Morning Devotional:
I had my Saturday evening all mapped out, and it definitely did not include a stop at the pet store. But Abbie was in the car with me and as I drove past, I felt that tell-tale nudge from on high to stop. While strolling through the store, I ran into a friend I hadn’t seen in a long time. She was definitely having a bad day and needed to see a friendly face.
Psalm 37:23 tells us that “The steps of a man are established by the Lord.” God not only establishes our steps, but He also plans our stops – even the ones that don’t quite make sense. Our simple obedience in the ordinary moment can mean the world to someone in need. Let’s make sure we’re available to Him today.
